Sophomore Paige Rauhut (McHenry, Ill.) racked up a 6-1 record and a save in the circle for the Sabres in the month of March to lead the Marian pitching staff. The sophomore right-hander put together a 2.68 earned run average in her eight starts and one save opportunity with a total of 53.2 innings pitched. During the month, she only allowed 54 hits for a 1.47 WHIP to go with 45 strikeouts. In six of her eight starts, she allowed two or fewer earned runs and had nine appearances where she struck out five or more hitters. All six of her wins were complete game efforts. Rauhut was also able to establish herself as one of the top pitchers in the conference so far this season earning two NACC Pitcher of the Week awards.
