With the help of fellow Hall of Famer Bruce Prall, Dave was a pioneer in Marian Athletics history assisting in the growth and early success of Sabre sports. Additionally, Dave was very instrumental in the building of Howard Sadoff Gymnasium which is still home to men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball, and numerous campus and community events. Due to Shaw’s early success, Marian athletics and the men’s basketball program are important fixtures in the Fond du Lac community.
