Offensively, Paul finished his career ranked first all-time in games played, hits, runs scored, doubles, home runs, RBIs and total bases.

On the mound, he went down as the career leader in wins, innings pitched, complete games, winning percentage and strikeouts.

He was a member of the first four-year class for Marian baseball and his teams compiled an all-time record of 100-60-1 in the first four seasons of the program's existence.
