Smith Field became the home of Marian lacrosse when the sport was announced as an addition to Sabre athletics in 2016. The first soccer game at Smith Field was played in the fall of 2002 and the first lacrosse game was played in the spring of 2018. The field boasts a 120 x 75 yard natural grass playing surface that is well manicured and irrigated. The players are guarded from the weather by plexiglass dugouts and team rooms to meet in prior to a match and during the halftime interval. The field is lit to allow for night games.
The field has a press box, state-of-the art sound system, and a customized scoreboard. The building at Smith Fields houses a full-service concession stand, men and women restrooms, team rooms, and a ticket booth. The second floor of the "clubhouse" has the press box and a "skybox" or meeting room that seats approximately 30 people.
