WAUKESHA, Wis. - Freshman utility player Trey Johnson has been named to the All-NACC Freshman team as a third baseman announced the league office Thursday.
Johnson (Trevor, Wis.) finished the season with a slash line of a .302 batting average, .337 on base percentage and .365 slugging percentage to open his career with Marian. The freshman ranked fourth on the team with 17 runs, fifth on the squad with 29 hits and drove in 10 runs on the year. Johnson had nine multi-hit games out of the 22 games he started with three three-hit games. The speedy Johnson was one of three Sabres to reach double-digit steals on the season with 10, while only being caught twice. He opened his career on the base paths with a steal in eight of the first nine games he appeared in. Defensively, Johnson saw action all over the diamond only committing one error for a .982 fielding percentage.
