GALENA, Ill. - Marian University men's golf competed in their second event in as many days shooting a 317 to finish seventh at the Loras Spring Invite.
Carthage had the top three scorers for the meet finishing with a 287 one-under par for the team title and were led by Matt Meneghetti who shot four-under par 68 for the individual title.
The top-three scorers for Marian were only separated by one shot led by AJ Rambaud who shot a six-over par 78 for a tie for 18th. Maxwell Dye and Caleb Martin followed each shooting a 79 and finished tied for 23rd. Jaek Sherwood closed out the scoring for the Sabres with a nine-over par 81, tied for 31st.
Jake Howie was next in for the Sabres shooting an 85 with James Mathias right behind him shooting a 91. Paul Kinder finished his round with a 94 and Matty Taylor finished with a 100. Taylor Beurman would close out the Marian lineup shooting a 103.
Marian is back in action Saturday, April 14 when they travel to the Morningstar Golfers Club for the Wisconsin Lutheran Invite.
