HARTFORD, Wis. - Marian University men's golf shot a 403 in the first round of the WLC Fall Invite and then saw a 16-stroke improvement in the second round to finish in seventh place.
AJ Rambaud had the best weekend for the Sabres shooting a 77 and a 76 to finish just nine-over par and place in a tie for 20th. Maxwell Dye and Jake Sherwood each finished 15-over par for the event at 159, while Caleb Martin shot an 84 and a 76 to finish one stroke behind the duo.
Tyler Demuse had the best card in the second round for Marian with a 75 and finished the event with a 162. OJ Garcia rounded out the Sabre lineup with an 85 and an 80 with Kyle Doyle competing as an individual and carding an 84 for each round.
Edgewood shot 17-over par for the event to take home the team title, while Jordan Knutson of Carthage finished two-under par to earn the individual title.
Marian will next travel to the MSOE Invite at the Grand Geneva Resort with the first round being Sunday, Sept. 30 and the second round the next day, Monday, Oct. 1.
