Sabre men's lacrosse offense stymied by Aurora

Marian gets ready before the start of the game.

AURORA, Ill. - The Marian University men's lacrosse (4-9, 1-4 MLC) offense struggled to find a groove and fell to Aurora by a 25-6 final.

The Sabres were held to only one goal after three quarters with Garrett Houlihan scoring in the second quarter with an assist to Connor Houlihan.  Marian had a strong fourth quarter where they found the back of the net five times.  Nick Klotz netted a pair of goals in the final quarter, while G. Houlihan, C. Houlihan, and Jeremy Eisele all found the back of the net in the final quarter.  C. Houlihan would have a hand in half of the Marian goals with a three-point game coming from a goal and two assists.

Gavin Taquino would take the loss in goal for the Sabres stopping 18 of the 43 shots he faced.

Marian is scheduled to return home to host Concordia Wisconsin Wednesday, April 11 with the first faceoff coming at 7 p.m. from Smith Field.
