Grisham paces Sabres at day one of NACC Outdoor Championships

LISLE, Ill. - Marian University track and field opened the 2017 NACC Outdoor Championships and were led by Tyler Grisham who had strong finishes in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash.

Grisham was able to qualify for the event final in the 400-meter dash finishing in seventh with a time of 51.84.  In the 200-meter dash, the freshman finished in 12th with a time of 22.75.  Chris Nelson had a strong showing in the 100-meter dash finishing in 14th with a time of 11.66.

In the longer distances, Jacob Leiden finished 15th in the 10,000-metere run finishing with a time of 37:59.43.

On the women's side, Alissa Stone had a 19th place finish in the 800-meter with a time of 2:40.84 and Sydney Cihak finished 17th in the 200-meter dash crossing the line at 29.74.

Marian closes out the NACC Outdoor Championships tomorrow, Saturday, May 6, from the Village of Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex.
