FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's soccer (5-7-0, 2-3-0 NACC) led 1-0 at halftime but fell to MSOE by a 4-1 final in NACC action.

Freshman Olivia Meerdink continued to lead the Sabre offense opening the scoring for the game just 4:24 in.  Meerdink received a pass from senior Reilly Louko and beat the keeper for her ninth goal of the year.  Neither team managed to score the rest of the half as MSOE outshot the Sabres 9-7.

The second half would be all MSOE, however, as the Raiders outshot the Sabres 18-4 in the second stanza and netted four goals.

Marian finished with 11 shots in the defeat with five coming off the foot Meerdink and three from Louko.  In goal, Amy Birner (2-1-0) suffered her first-career defeat but made 11 saves, nine of which came in the second half.

Marian travels to Aurora Saturday, Oct. 6 for a noon start in NACC play.
