Women's Volleyball Struggles in Setback

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Marian University women's volleyball dropped a 25-23, 25-17, 25-13 decision to Concordia Wisconsin Tuesday evening in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action at Sadoff Gymnasium.

The Sabres opened the first set with a commanding 18-11 lead, however, CUW (15-6, 6-0 NACC) rallied and tied at 23-23 and the Falcons took advantage of a Sabre error to grab the lead and then CUW was able to closeout the set.

Both teams struggled to find level footing on offense in the opening set. MU hit .030 and CUW was a sliver higher at .050. The Falcons committed 10 errors, while the Sabres finished with nine errors.

Alexandra Meidl finished with a team-high six kills and Catelyn Brehm added five kills and seven digs.

The Sabres (4-18, 2-5 NACC) return to the court Friday against Concordia Chicago.
