Marian men's golf sits in fifth after opening rounds of NACC Championship

HAVEN, Wis. - Marian University men's golf is in sixth place after the first two rounds of the NACC Championship shooting a 340 in the first round and a 316 in the second round.

Maxwell Dye shot the lowest round for the Sabres with a 77 in the second round and coupled with an 82 he sits in a tie for 10th place.  Not far behind is Jake Sherwood who is tied for 13th after an 81 and 79. 

Caleb Martin saw the biggest improvement between rounds with an 88 followed by a 79.  AJ Rambaud closed out the scoring for Marian with an 89 in his first round and an 81 in the second round.

Tyler Demuse carded a 93 in the first round, while Kyle Doyle shot an 88 in the second round for the Sabres to close out their lineup.

Josh Hentrich of Edgewood finished four-over par including a second round 69 to hold the individual lead after two rounds.  The Eagles also hold a four-stroke lead on the team title after a second round 288.

The final rounds of the NACC Championship are set for April 28-29 from Stonebridge Country Club.  The full spring schedule for Marian men's golf will be released later this winter.
