Marian men's golf sits in fourth after opening rounds of NACC Championship

IRISH HAVEN, Wis. - Marian University men's golf shot a 330 and 327 for a two-day total of 657 to open the NACC Championship in fourth place.

Maxwell Dye and Trent Thomas each sit in a strong position to make a run at an All-NACC award come the spring sitting tied for 10th after finishing with a 159 each.  Dye shot the lowest Sabre round with a 77 in the opener and followed that with an 82, while Thomas had a 79 in the opening round a team-best 80 in the second round.  Tyler Demeuse had a pair of consistent rounds with an 85 and 84.

Aaron Rick bounced back after shooting an 89 in the first round to finish with a seven-stroke improvement at 82 in the second round.  Jake Sherwood had the biggest improvement between rounds after carding a 92 in the first round and an 83 in the second round.

Aurora shot 307 twice and sits atop the team leaderboard led by the current individual leader Scott Boyajian.

The final two rounds of the NACC Championship will be held at Stonebridge Country Club April 26-27.
