DE PERE, Wis. - No. 13 Marian University men's hockey (20-7-1, 12-6-0 NCHA) was eliminated from Harris Cup contention falling to No. 2 St. Norbert by a 3-0 final.
The Sabres had chances but struggled to put the puck on goal as they were outshot 39-12 for the game. Sophomore Hunter Vorva would stop 36 of the 39 Green Knight shots marking the fifth time this season he stopped 30 or more shots.
The Marian penalty kill got their work in after the Sabres were called for 11 penalties in the game. The Sabres fought off all 10 power play opportunities for the Green Knights, including three instances where the Sabres were at a 5-on-3 disadvantage.
