WAUKESHA, Wis. - For a second straight week, junior goalie Hunter Vorva of No. 7/11 Marian University men's hockey has been named the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week.

Vorva (Kalamazoo, Mich.) helped Marian stay perfect on the young season with wins over Lake Forest and Aurora.  He posted a strong weekend in goal, allowing just one goal each outing. Vorva totaled 35 saves with a .946 save percentage on the weekend.  In the opener, Vorva stopped 18 Forester shots, only allowing one power-play goal, before adding another 17 saves against the Spartans to help him earn his fifth NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honor of his career.
