FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's hockey (4-2-0, 4-0-0 NCHA) outshot UW-Stout 27-22 but were shutout by the Blue Devils by a 4-0 final.

The Blue Devils jumped out early on the Sabres scoring a pair of goals in the opening period, one of which came on the power play.  Marian would outshoot UW-Stout 12-6 in the second stanza with neither team managing to find the back of the net.  UW-Stout would add on with a power play goal and empty-netter to put the final at 4-0.  Senior Nick Monfils would nearly put Marian on the board but a shot from the left circle would hit the pipe.

In his first start as a Sabre, senior Jack Romanuik made 18 saves in the loss.

Marian hits the road in non-conference action playing at Bethel Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.
