Shots (on goal)
FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's soccer (3-7-1, 0-4-0 NACC) held the lead at halftime but fell to Dominican by a 5-2 final.
The Stars were on the board first in the 13th minute before sophomore Tallon Schuster netted the equalizer in the 31st minute with an assist to senior Chris Nelson. Nelson then gave Marian their first lead of the game with just 1:28 left to play in the half for his third goal of the season.
The pair of goals would be the only shots on frame the Sabres would manage, however, as the second half was all Dominican. The Stars would net four goals in the second stanza with the final two being separated by only 1:40.
Junior Kevin Cervantes (2-5-1) took the loss in goal for the Sabres making eight stops in the defeat.
Marian next travels to Lakeland Wednesday, Oct. 9 for a 7 p.m. NACC match-up.
