WAUKESHA, Wis. - For the second time this season, sophomore Paige Rauhut of Marian University softball has been named the NACC Pitcher of the Week announced the league office Monday night.
Rauhut (McHenry, Ill.) compiled a 1.40 ERA as she earned two complete-game wins and a save as Marian opened conference play 4-0. The sophomore right-hander only allowed three earned runs in her three appearances and struck out nine batters. She was especially strong in the opener of a twin bill at Wisconsin Lutheran College where she went the distance only allowing four hits and striking out five.
After earning a pair of wins against Edgewood before the announcement, Rauhut now leads the conference with nine wins and 73.1 innings pitched, while also ranking second in the NACC with 69 punch outs.
Marian is scheduled to travel to UW-Oshkosh for a single non-conference game Thursday, April 5 for a 5 p.m. first pitch.
