AURORA, Ill. - Marian University women's basketball (2-20, 2-15 NACC) fell to Aurora 83-43 in NAC action on the road.
The Sabres had their best quarter come in the opener where they shot 7-14 (.500) from the field but still trailed the Spartans by a 28-15 margin heading into the first break. Aurora would hold the Sabres to a combined 18 points over the second and third quarter to pull away and cruise with the win.
Marian turnovers proved to be costly as Aurora outscored the Sabres 31-9 in points off of turnovers.
Senior Rachel Serchen led the way for the Sabres scoring 12 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Marian returns home tomorrow, Saturday, February 8, to take on Concordia Wisconsin at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.
