OSHKOSH, Wis. - Marian University women's golf shot their lowest rounds since 2016 to take ninth at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic.
The Sabres opened the tournament shooting a 409 led by Kristen Frawley who shot a 93. Michelle Lopez followed with a 99, while Jacqueline Ruud wasn't far behind with a 103. Morgan Hernandez closed out the Marian scoring with a 114 and Sydney Clark rounded out the lineup with a 120.
Marian followed their first round with a 412 in the second round led by Lopez who shot a 97 to finish with a 196 and in a tie for 33rd. Ruud had the second-lowest round in the second round with a 102 but finished third on the team behind Frawley who finished with a 200. Hernandez saw an eight-stroke improvement in the second round with a 106 to finish at 220, while Clark closed out the event with a 239.
Host UW-Oshkosh won the meet finishing with a team score of 655 led by medalist Erike Priebe who shot a combined 156.
Marian will next head to Meadowbrook Country Club for the NACC Preview Sunday, Sept. 8.
