MINNEAPOLIS - Augsburg netted three goals in the first and second period to defeat Marian University women's hockey (0-2-0, 0-0-0 NCHA) 6-1 in the opening weekend of the season.

The Auggies would outshoot the Sabres 34-8 in the opening two periods as they were able to build a 6-0 lead heading into the third period.  One of the Augsburg goals would come on a power play opportunity.
