Face Offs Won
ADRIAN, Mich. - Marian University women's hockey (7-20-0, 6-12-0 NCHA) was eliminated from Slaats Cup contention after falling to No. 5/6 Adrian by a 3-0 final.
The Sabres were outshot 44-15 in the loss with junior Lindsey Strainis making a season-high 41 saves. Freshman Megan Cook and junior Hailey Miller each had three shots on frame to lead the Marian offense.
The Marian power play had a tough time finding a rhythm as they went scoreless on eight power play opportunities. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, were able to net a pair of man-advantage goals in the game on four opportunities.
Marian University was founded in 1936 by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, Wis. The institution has one of the lowest student-faculty ratios in the state and strives to live its core values as a community committed to learning, dedicated to service and social justice and joined together by spiritual traditions. Marian offers undergraduate, adult, masters and doctoral degree programs at its main campus and in facilities throughout Wisconsin.
