Sabre women's volleyball swept by Warriors

MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's volleyball (4-6, 1-1 NACC) dropped their first conference match on the road falling to Wisconsin Lutheran in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-16.

The Warrior offense proved to be too much for the Sabres as WLC went on to hit .265 for the match with 38 kills. 

The Sabres were able to get a strong showing from senior Alexandra Meidl who recorded a team-high 11 kills.  Junior Jenna Skroski led all back row players with a match-high 16 digs, while junior Amber Yahr narrowly missed out on a double-double with 20 assists to go with nine digs.

Marian opens the weekend with a pair of home matches taking on Dubuque Friday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. from Sadoff Gym.
