Sarah Frings joined the Marian University athletic staff in July 2015 as the new coordinator of athletic external relations. Sarah's primary responsibilities will be marketing and promoting athletic events, oversight of the new Sammy's Kids club, assisting the department with camps and clinics, and development of a new student incentive program.
Sarah is a 2014 graduate of Northern Illinois University (NIU) where she studied business administration and communications. While at NIU, she was a four-year member of the women's volleyball program and served as team captain in her senior year. Upon graduation from NIU, Sarah played professional women's volleyball overseas in Denmark for Brondby Volleyball Club. Sarah was actively involved with NIU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and volunteered at the Salvation Army, local elementary schools, and Red Cross Blood Drives. With these experiences, Sarah will assist and oversee aspects of the Marian University SAAC during her two years.
In addition to her volleyball experience, Sarah has worked at Lake Heart Specialist, Waikato Enterprises, Kane County Junior Volleyball Club, and numerous athletic and volleyball camps. Finally, during her two years at Marian University, Sarah will pursue a master's degree in organizational leadership.
