PLAYERS TO WATCH

Frances Ivers poses for media day

#1 • Frances Ivers • Freshman

Freshman Frances Ivers looks to make an immediate impact for the Sabres offensively as a running back and defensively as a rusher.  Ivers will look to use her speed and versatility to have a major role on both sides of the balls for the Sabres.

Daniela Chaname poses for media day

#19 • Daniela Chaname • Sophomore

Sophomore Daniela Chaname will look to be a versatile player for the Sabres, especially on the offensive side of the ball.  Chaname will spend time as the quarterback for Marian and out at wide receiver.  Defensively, she will serve as a ball-hawking safety looking to force turnovers.  Chaname is also a member of the Sabre women's soccer team.

Raegan Montello poses for media day

#23 • Raegan Montello • Junior

Junior Raegan Montello will look to have a breakout first season in her first year of competing in flag football.  Montello is expected to make an immediate impact on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive back.  She is also a part of the women's volleyball program where she served as a defensive specialist and a libero this past season.

WELCOME TO SMITH FIELD

HOME OF MARIAN FLAG FOOTBALL

Smith Field turf
Smith Field overhead

The soccer field at Smith Fields had its first game played on it in the fall of 2002. The field was natural grass until turf was installed for the complex in the summer of 2019. The players are guarded against the weather by plexiglass dugouts and team rooms to meet in prior to a match and during the halftime interval. The field is lit to allow for night games.

The field has a press box, state-of-the-art sound system, and a customized scoreboard. The building at Smith Fields houses a full-service concession stand, men and women restrooms, team rooms, and a ticket booth. The second floor of the "clubhouse" has the press box and a "skybox" or meeting room that seats approximately 30 people.
