Graduate student Sean Meyer (Oconomowoc, Wis.) finished out a historic career with the Sabre baseball program. He opened the month in grand fashion becoming the Marian all-time hits leader in a road sweep against St. Norbert. He would hit a double and homer in that sweep and scored five runs. He then rattled of four consecutive multi-hit games opening with a pair of 3-for-5 games in home split against MSOE. Meyer was able to open a doubleheader with Concordia Chicago going 3-for-6 with two doubles, two driven in, and one run scored. He would go on to end the season on a nine-game hitting streak and was held hitless in just six of 39 games during the season. This earned Meyer his third all-conference award from the NACC, a second-team selection. He hit .373 on the season with 29 runs driven to go with a .410 on-base percentage and a .572 slugging percentage. His 21 doubles on the season put him fourth in the nation and set a single-season program record. Meyer concludes his career with 234 hits, most in program history, 53 doubles, tied for the most in program history, and the sixth-best batting average of any Sabre hitter at .389.
