Junior Kayla Kolpitcke (Powell, Wyo.) played a major role in Marian earning six victories during the month of January.  The junior net minder was 5-3-0 during the month of January and made at least 30 saves in four of those games.  She also allowed two or fewer goals in six of her eight starts.  Kolpitcke had a pair of performances with at least 40 saves including a season-high 49 stops in the finale of a series against No. 14 St. Norbert.  As the anchor of the Sabre penalty kill, Marian allowed just two power-play goals.  Kolpitcke earned her first NCHA Defensive Player of the Week award for the season after leading Marian to a sweep of Lawrence.  For the month, Kolpitcke made 258 saves and ha da .938 save percentage.
