Senior Derek Wills (Dubuque, Iowa) had a dominating start to the season to earn Sabre of the Month recognition.  He was able to get the job done both offensively and defensively over the first four matches of the season.  Wills currently ranks fourth in the NACC with 3.71 kills per set and fifth in the conference with 3.14 digs per set.  At the Marian Invite, Wills had a double-double in two of the three matches going for 14 kills and 11 digs against Olivet followed by 13 kills and 14 digs against North Park.  His performance against the Vikings led the Sabres to their first victory over North Park in program history, a three-set sweep.  He would go on to earn NACC Defensive Player of the Week for his performances at the home invite.  In his most recent match, Wills would post 16 kills and 11 digs against Trine for his third double-double in four matches.
