(Lisle, IL) - Marian University won a pair of Northern Athletics Conference matches on Saturday to move to 3-2 on the season and 2-0 in the NAC. The Sabres opened the day with a 6-3 victory over Benedictine University and finished with a 5-4 victory over Aurora University.
In their victory over Benedictine University, the Sabres won four singles matches and two doubles matches. Michelle Zwicky (Fond du Lac, WI), Jamie Raquet (Kiel, WI), Reilly Connaher (Fond du Lac, WI), and Melanie Seitz (Panama City, Panama) were all victorious in singles play.
In doubles competition, Rebecca Heczko (Iron Mountain, MI) and Connaher were victors at \#2 doubles, while Setiz and Emily Bates (Fond du Lac, WI) were winners at \#3 doubles.
Against Aurora University, the Sabres won just two singles matches, but came up big in doubles competition. Marian won all three doubles matches.
In singles play, Zwicky and Connaher were victorious. Connaher improved her record in singles competition to 5-0 on the year.
At \#1 doubles, Zwicky and Raquet won 8--6, while Heczko and Connaher were an 8-5 winner. Bates and Seitz dominated at \#3 doubles with an 8-0 victory.
