WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Marian University women's tennis team competed well at Carroll, but dropped a close 5-4 decision.
Freshman Mackenzie Meyers (No. 3 singles) won her first career match 5-7, 6-1, 10-5 and senior Melissa Spannbauer (No. 5 singles) was victorious 6-4, 4-6, 12-10.
Sophomore Kristin Houle (No. 6 singles) cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win.
Sophomore Alissa Heid and Myers (No. 2 doubles) won 8-6.
The Blue and White open conference action Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Wisconsin Lutheran.
