MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's tennis (9-6, 6-3 NACC) closed out the fall season completing a sweep of Alverno after the match was postponed earlier in the season.
The Sabres already entered with a 3-0 advantage after doubles action from earlier in the year and MU continued their dominance in singles action. Junior Meg Hartzell at No. 1 singles and freshman Emma Lewandowski at No. 4 singles would only drop one set each as they nearly completed perfect sweeps. Sophomore Mackenzie Meyers earned a victory at No. 2 singles, while freshman Kyrsten Bruce took No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-4. Junior Andrea Krahenbuhl earned the final victory at No. 6 singles and fellow junior Kristin Houle won by default.
Marian is currently set to open the spring season at Lake Forest Saturday, April 7 where MU will take on the host Lake Forest at 9 a.m. and North Park at approximately noon.
