Marian falls to UW-Oshkosh on the road

OSHKOSH, Wis. - Marian University women's tennis (0-2, 0-1 NACC) traveled to UW-Oshkosh in non-conference action and fell to a tough Titan squad by an 8-1 final.

The Sabres couldn't get anything going in doubles dropping all three spots.  In singles action, junior Meg Hartzell at No. 1 singles took the first set 6-4 but Bailey Sagen was able to force a tiebreak that Hartzell dropped by a slim 10-8 margin.  The No. 6 singles position also needed a third set tie break after junior Andrea Krahenbuhl was able to battle back to take her second set 6-3.  In the tie break, Krahenbuhl was able to edge out Hannah Nauth by a 10-7 score for the lone Sabre win.

Marian returns to NACC action this weekend as they travel to Aurora and Dominican Saturday, Sept. 9.  The Sabres open against the Spartans at 10 a.m. before a 2 p.m. start against the Stars.
