Sabre women's tennis falls to Wisconsin Lutheran 5-4

FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's tennis (2-5, 2-4 NACC) dropped a tight 5-4 match to Wisconsin Lutheran in NACC action.

The Sabres opened with a lead over the Warriors after taking two of the three doubles matches.  Emma Lewandowksi and Carly Paulson were able to earn a No. 1 doubles win, while Katrina Pokorny and Aeryn Olson won at the No. 3 doubles spot by an 8-6 margin.

Marian struggled in singles action, however, only managing two wins.  Lewandowski earned her second win of the day at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-4 victory, and Olson also secured a sweep on the day with a 6-1, 5-2 win at No. 5 that was officially won by retirement.

Marian travels to Alverno for a 10 a.m. match Saturday, May 1.
