MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's tennis (3-5, 3-4 NACC) defeated Alverno 9-0 to earn the final spot in the NACC Tournament.
The duo of Kyrsten Bruce and Erica Counter at No. 2 doubles only dropped one game with an 8-1 victory, while at No. 1, Emma Lewandowski and Carly Paulson teamed up for an 8-3 win.
Aeryn Olson at No. 4 and Aubree Helstad at No. 5 led the way in singles action with a pair of 6-0 victories. Lewandowski at the top spot and Bruce at the No. 2 spot would each only drop one game as part of their victories, while Counter completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 No. 2 win.
The duo of Olson and Katrina Pokorny earned a default victory at No. 3 doubles, and Paulson earned a default victory at No. 6 singles.
Marian travels to Illinois Tech Tuesday, May 4 to open the NACC Tournament.
