Marian women's bowling posts strong start to CCIW play

BETTENDORF, Iowa - Marian University women's bowling recorded the second-most pins at the first CCIW Meet of the season.

  • The Sabres opened CCIW play with the second-highest total for traditional games with 2,733 over three games, a 911.0 average. 
  • Marian then once again had the second-best total for Baker play recording 3,405 pins over 20 games, a 170.3 average.
  • This gave the Sabres a 6,138 total only trailing Aurora with 6,201.

  • Marian finished above 900 for two of the three traditional games with a high of 988 to open CCIW play.
  • The Sabres showed consistency in the Baker format recording four games with at least 190.

  • The lowest Baker game for Marian was a 119 but the second-lowest game was a 136.

Addison Jacak recorded a 203, 176, and 210 to finish third individually with a 196.3 average.
Brenna Schiekera finished seventh with an average of 190.3 after scoring a 200, 188, and 183.
Jazmin Koeberl finished just outside the top 10 with a 12th-place finish with an average of 178.
