GOLFERS TO WATCH

Yinan Lu • Senior

Yinan Lu had looks to close out a spectacular career with another strong season. Lu was named the first NACC Women's Golf Athlete of the Year in program history after earning her second NACC medalist honor in three years. She once again set a program record for stroke average at 76.6 strokes over 16 rounds. She had fewer than 80 strokes in 11 of her 16 rounds with six of those seeing her finish below 75 strokes. She earned medalist recognition four times and was named the NACC Player of the Week three times.

Jessy Merrell • Junior

Jessy Merrell had a strong showing in her first season as a Sabre finishing the year with an 82.56 stroke average over 16 rounds. She had four rounds with fewer than 80 strokes with a season-best 75 coming in the second round of the Edgewood Fall Invite. Merrell closed out that event in fourth place. She narrowly missed an All-NACC spot finishing 11th after rounds of 82, 85, and 80.
