GREENWOOD, Ind. - Junior
Yinan Lu of Marian University women's golf has been named Academic All-District by the organization College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The CSC Academic All-American program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their efforts both in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in the lineup for 75 percent of their team's days of competition and attain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5. They must also hold at least sophomore standing at their institution.
Lu (Qindao, China) continued her spectacular career at Marian highlighted by her second NACC Medalist award in three seasons. Along with her NACC Medalist recognition, Lu set the single-season record for stroke average once again at 76.6 over 16 rounds. She finished the season under 80 strokes 11 times with six of those seeing her finish with a 75 or better. She went on to win four events, place second once, third once, and earn NACC Player of the Week recognition three times.
This is the first CSC Academic All-District award for the Marian University women's golf program.
