Biography
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Emily Gorges was placed on the 2016 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-Great Lakes First Team as a utility player.
A New London, Wis. product, Gorges excelled as a pitcher and a clean-up hitter for the Sabres. In the circle she posted a 12-9 overall record with two saves and a 3.16 earned run average and struck out 101 batters. She also pitched 15 complete games.
Gorges was just as dangerous at the plate. She batted .347 and led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with 50 runs batted in and nine home runs – both of which are single-season program records.
Gorges sported a .661 slugging percentage, .444 on-base percentage, nine doubles and one triple.
