Biography
FOND DU LAC - Junior Sean Meyer of Marian University baseball has been named to the All-Midwest third team by D3Baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
Meyer (Oconomowoc, Wis.) earns All-Region honors as a catcher after leading Marian to a NACC North regular-season championship. Adding to an already stellar career, Meyer had the second-most hits in a single season in Sabre baseball history with 67 as he hit .409 on the year. Meyer also slugged at a .591 clip for the year, 20 extra-base hits, with his 97 total bases on the season putting him ninth in the single-season record books for the category. He accounted for 72 runs on the year with 40 driven in, team leader, while scoring another 32, third on the squad.
Meyer had 20 multi-hit games this season, including a pair of four-hits game, and 11 games where he drove in multiple runs. Against Lakeland in the NACC Tournament, Meyer went 4-for-6 with three runs scored and six driven in to lead Marian to just their second NACC Tournament victory in program history. He also was able to earn one NACC player of the week award this season.
This is the second All-Region selection for Meyer by the ABCA after earning a second-team selection as a utility player his sophomore season.

Meyer adds both All-Region selections after already being named the NACC North Player of the Year and earning a spot on the All-NACC North team.
