Tyler Meade became the second Marian men's bowler to qualify for the ISC National Championship with 1,463 pins, 243.8 average. He had two games above 270 pins with a high game of 296.
Meade (Verona, Wis.) had a strong start to the tournament and qualified as the No. 4 seed after the first six games of action. He bounced back from a tough opening game to to bowl four straight games with at least 206 pins. His fifth game saw him roll a 256, his highest game of qualifying. Meade finishd with 1,317 pins and was one of just seven bowlers with at least 1,300 pins.
This earned Meade a bye in bracket play, but Meade would only compete in one round of bracket play. Meade was one of just eight bowlers with at least 650 pins in the second round but was defeated by No. 13 Blake Walsh of Mount Mercy by a 756-655 tally. Walsh went on to earn the ISC National Championship.
