Ana Morton joined the Sabre women's basketball program as an assistant coach in September of 2025.
Morton becomes a Sabre after serving as an assistant coach at Daytona State last season and Milligan University the year prior, her second stint with the Buffs. On the bench with the Buffs, she helped lead Milligan to a spot in the NAIA National Tournament. Milligan finished the season 23-8 with a 19-3 mark in AAC play that was good for third in the conference standings. Milligan received an at-large bid to the national tourney but were bounced in the first round by Georgetown 87-61. While working primarily with player development of the guards, she helped guide four student-athletes to All-Conference recognition with one also earning WBCA NAIA Honorable Mention All-American recognition.
Her first stint with Milligan came during the 2021-22 season where the Buffs went 25-8 with a 22-2 mark in AAC play that was good for second in the conference standings. Milligan was able to reach the AAC Tournament Championship game but were defeated. While once again working with the guards primarily, Morton helped guide three student-athletes to All-AAC honors with one also earning CSC Academic All-American recognition and All-American honors from the WBCA and NAIA.
Between her two stints at Milligan she spent one season as the director of basketball operations at NCAA Division I Winthrop University. Outside of the collegiate scene, Morton has coached several AAU teams during her career including Reign FBC, TN Xtreme, TN Grizzliez, and TN Swarm. She also helped lead Tyner Middle Academy to a district title in 2013 and spent five seasons as the head coach of Orchard Knob Middle.
Morton earned a bachelor's degree in health and exercise science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2012 and a master's degree in educational leadership in 2018 from Carson-Newman University.
