Cory Pfeifer

Cory Pfeifer was announced as a graduate assistant for the athletic communications staff in July of 2025.

Pfeifer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May of 2025. In addition to his studies, he became closely involved with the Sports Information and Media & Technology departments on campus. Working at a school in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) gave Pfeifer a tremendous opportunity to experience the world of collegiate athletics in a highly competitive NCAA Division III landscape. During his time at UW-River Falls, Pfeifer was able to gain experience working back-to-back NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championships, witnessing the Falcons win both championships in the process.

Throughout his time in college, Pfeifer competed for the UW-River Falls cross country and track and field teams, showing steady progress throughout his four years with the programs. He concluded his college career with personal bests of 4:22 (1,500-meters), 9:29 (3,000-meters), 16:23 (5,000-meters), and 28:45 (cross country). He was a team captain as a senior and played a key role in developing a winning culture throughout his time as a Falcon. He is continuing his running journey in the Fond du Lac area, as he will compete in his first marathon this November, taking part in the Madison Marathon.

Pfeifer also graduated with a minor in coaching during his undergraduate studies. He plans to pursue his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership starting this fall. Â
