John Frausto

The 2014-15 season marks the thirdfor John Frausto as a member of the Marian men'stennis team and first as assistant coach. Frausto, whobrings over 20 years of tennis experience to the Sabre program,led the women's tennis program from 2006-14, compiling six NACCTournament berths.

Frausto led the Sabres totheir best season in school history in 2009 as they finished 12-5overall and 9-2 in the NACC. The Sabres have had a winningseason in six of seven seasons with Frausto at the helm. Priorto Frausto's arrival at Marian, the program had just one winningseason all-time.

Following the 2007 season, Frausto was honored for his accomplishments,as he was named Northern Athletics Collegiate ConferenceCoach-of-the-Year. Frausto led the Sabres to a 9-5 season and finished 8-2in the NACC. 

Frausto
currently serves as a partner and Director ofTennis at Center Court Tennis Club in Fond du Lac, a USPTA P-1Professional and MTM Master Professional. He was recentlyhonored with a prestegious award as 2013 USPTA Midwest FacilityManager of the Year. He adds that to his 2007 Wisconsin TeachingProfessional of the Year award. The USPTA is the largestprofessional tennis teaching organization in the world with over14,500 members.

Prior to his time at Center Court,Frausto was theDirector of Tennis at the Manitowoc/Two Rivers YMCA.

Frausto received his degree in Healthand Physical Education from UW-Platteville (1996).

Frausto, his wife, Julie, andtheir children, Morgen and Gianni, reside in Plymouth,Wisconsin.
