Kaley Ludvigsen was added to the Marian Sports Medicine staff in July of 2025.
Â
Ludvigsen graduated with her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Aurora University this spring. During this time her studies were cut into four rotations spanning from high school athletics, collegiate athletics, and occupational health. Her collegiate stint was at Benedictine University where she managed acute and chronic injuries in high-impact, high-performance student-athletes. During her first rotation she spent time with Lincoln-Way West High School and during her final rotation she served Joliet Catholic Academy.
Â
She is no stranger to Marian having earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Marian in 2023, while also playing on the softball team. She also had a minor in psychology during her undergraduate studies. While a member of the Sabre softball program, Ludvigsen played in 114 games despite her freshman season being shortened due to the CoVID-19 pandemic. In her sophomore campaign she hit .339 earning herself a spot on the All-NACC Honorable Mention squad.
Â
Along with her studies and playing career at Marian, Ludvigsen spent one semester with the sports medicine staff as an intern. While monitoring the day-to-day duties of an athletic trainer, she also aided in rehabilitation and the organization of documentation during this stint.
Â
Ludvigsen earned her Board of Certification for Athletic Training in April of 2025.
