Lexi Hess

Lexi Hess was announced as an assistant coach for the Marian University softball program in June of 2026.

Hess began her collegiate playing career at the NCAA Division II level at Concordia St. Paul before transferring to Alverno College.  She played in a total of 92 games over her three seasons with the Inferno and was a .323 career hitter to go with a .442 slugging percentage and .381 on base percentage.  In her sophomore season she slugged .461 recording four doubles, two triples, and a pair of home runs.  That campaign also saw her post a .410 on base percentage and score 18 runs.  Her final season with the Inferno saw her set career-highs for base hits (35), runs driven in (15), and tie her career-best for runs scored from the previous season (18). 

Hess joins the Sabre coaching staff after serving as an assistant coach at Wauwatosa East since 2024.  This past season saw the Red Raiders reach double-digit victories for the first time since the 2023 season and reach the regional championship game.  She also served as an assistant coach at West Allis Hale from 2020-23 and helped lead the Huskies to a regional championship in 2021.

Hess earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Alverno in 2024.
