Senior Ashley Welk (Mount Prospect, Ill.) closed out an impressive career with the Sabre women's soccer program finishing sixth on the all-time scoring list.  It took Welk just 60 games to record 93 total points coming from 39 goals and 15 assists.  Her 39 scores are also good for fifth on the all-time goal scoring list at Marian with her eight game-winners putting her fifth all-time.  For the month of October, Welk finished with nine points in seven games with her top performance coming against Aurora where she scored a goal with two assists.  The Sabres were able to keep their NACC Tournament hopes alive with the 3-2 victory.  Welk finished the season seventh in the NACC with 23 points coming from nine goals and five assists.
