Marian fell behind 40-29 at the break, but made things interesting in the second half. They tied the game at 62 with 4:09 to play and trailed by just two points with :31 to play. Trailing by three with just :22 to play, the Sabres missed a three-pointer, which would have tied things up. Northwestern sealed the game from the free throw line.
Marian was led by Logan Rankin (Algoma, WI) as he recorded 20 points and nine rebounds. Bryan Ashbeck (Wabeno, WI) recorded 11 points.
