(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University dropped to 0-2 on Friday evening as they fell 8-1 to Concordia College-Moorhead. The Cobbers are now 1-0 on the season, as the two teams will square off again tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 PM.

The Cobbers jumped out a 2-0 lead in the first 9:08 and never looked back. In the second, the Cobbers erupted for four goals to take a 6-0 lead heading into the final intermission.

In the third, Marian opened the period up with a goal by Amy Knutson (Fond du Lac, WI). She was assisted on the play by Stephanie Desmeules (Red Lake, ON) and Alex DeBoer (Spring Lake Park, MN). The Sabres goal came on the power play.

The Cobbers added two goals in the third.

Marian was out-shot in the contest 36-13.

Concordia-Moorhead was 5-for-9 on the power play, while Marian was 1-for-9.
