Coach Peltonen's Quotes
“ Disappointing comes to mind when looking back at this game. They were fast out of the gates and we started out flat again. We got back doored on the first goal a couple minutes into the game, as we got caught ball watching. They literally could have been up 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the game if it wasn't for some good angle play from our keeper and team captain, Nick Henkemeyer. On the other hand, we had a great opportunity in the first minute, but didn't make a good choice. Who knows what would have happened had we gone up 1-0 right off the bat. We need to come up with a solution to the problem of coming out flat for our home games. For the vast majority of teams, they play harder when they're are hosting and playing in front of their own fans.”
“ We made some adjustments at half and that seemed to work better. We were able to sort their attacking players out and what their tendencies were. We had a little more of the play then we did in the first half, but not enough to create many dangerous scoring opportunities. We were also predictable in our play, relying on the long diagonal ball way too much.”
“ A game ball goes to Everett Zank for his tireless effort and Nick Henkemeyer for keeping us in the game."
