Box Score (River Forest, IL) - Marian University dropped a 70-49 Northern Athletics Conference contest to Concordia University-Chicago on Saturday afternoon. The Cougars led by as many as 17 points midway through the first half and maintained a lead larger than twelve points throughout the second half to aide in the victory.

The Cougars (8-6, 5-4 NAC) led 33-21 at the break despite shooting just 32% from the floor. Marian shot 8-for-28 (29%) in the half.

In the second, the Sabres shot better than the Cougars, but never could get the deficit into single digits.

Marian (4-9, 2-6 NAC) finished the game with 25 turnovers and CUC out-rebounded the Sabres 44-41.

Alexis Becker (North Fond du Lac, WI) led the Sabres with 15 points 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Brooke Haen (Oakfield, WI) added 14. Emily Reiter (Hilbert, WI) added 9 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.

Melissa Schwab led the Cougars with 27 points.
